Texas Tech Red Raiders — 35-33 Loss at Wyoming

The second disappointing loss for the Big 12 came late Saturday night in Laramie, Wyoming. Losing on the road to what should be a solid Wyoming team isn’t what makes this one disappointing. What makes it disappointing is the fact that Tech led 17-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Red Raiders were looking like the offensive juggernaut that a lot of people thought they would be, but the offense stalled as quickly as it got going. A failed two-point conversion attempt in double overtime ended up being the difference maker, as Tech fell to 0-1 on the season. Tyler Shough had 338 passing yards with three touchdowns (and an interception), but it was the run game that really hurt the offensive momentum (93 yards on 33 carries).

It only gets harder for Texas Tech on Saturday, as they host 15th-ranked Oregon, who is coming off an 81-7 thrashing of Portland State.
