RB Daniel Hishaw Jr.

We mentioned that the ground game will be KU’s No. 1 priority on offense today in our most recent article, and one of the reasons for it is the highly anticipated return of Daniel Hishaw Jr. He and Devin Neal should hypothetically shred the Missouri State defense to pieces.

Hishaw’s performance against the Bears is not only important for this week but also for his 2023 outlook. He hasn’t played in a game since the Jayhawks took on Iowa State on Oct. 1 of last year, subsequently suffering a season-ending injury. The coaching staff will be cautious of his reps, but the hope is that he will be 100% good to go by tonight.
