Devin Neal kicked off the 2023 Kansas football season with an electric touchdown run against Missouri State.

The Kansas Jayhawks football team is in action for the first time in 247 days. Devin Neal gave Lance Leipold’s squad a kick start with this 48-yard touchdown run.

It marks the first score of the season for Kansas.

Neal is the only returning 1,000-yard rusher in the Big 12. He amassed 1,273 scrimmage yards and ten touchdowns last year.

Jason Bean is under center despite Jalon Daniels being listed as the starter. He completed 3-of-3 passes, two in the direction of Luke Grimm and one to Lawrence Arnold.

Neal’s touchdown was the only running play of the opening drive.
