Would the Jayhawks struggle in this game during the David Beaty era? Perhaps. But this is an entirely new culture surrounding Kansas football. They don’t need to go for it on fourth-and-short or start using trick plays. KU is a dozen times more talented than Missouri State, so the team must make sure to play it safe in what is a quintessential bye week.
