These three things will be the keys to victory for Kansas football ahead of the regular season opener against Missouri State this evening.

Today marks the first official football game the Kansas Jayhawks will play in the year 2023. Missouri State will travel to Lawrence under the Friday night lights in the highly anticipated opener.

Coming off a 5-6 (3-5) season at the FCS level, Missouri State will likely be the weakest opponent Lance Leipold’s unit sees this year. Kansas is favored heavily against the Bears, but Jalon Daniels’ nagging injury and the struggling defense leaves some question for concern.

If the Kansas football team applies these three strategies for today’s game, they should have no problem taking Missouri State down.
