Bold Prediction No. 4: Jayhawks break the Sunflower Showdown curse

We know, we know — KU fans say this every year. But with Jalon Daniels likely in his final year at the university and no telling how long Coach Leipold will stick around, this HAS to be the year if the Jayhawks will beat K-State anytime soon.

They lost Deuce Vaughn and Felix Anudike-Uzomah to the NFL, two of the most important pieces to last year’s roster. There should be a slight defensive regression. Although Will Howard and Co. pose a daunting task, Kansas has the offensive firepower to beat K-State in a shootout this season.
