Bold Prediction No. 2: Kansas finishes top 20 nationally in rushing yards per game

In 2022, Kansas finished 39th in the nation in rushing yards per game with 184.2. With a healthy Daniel Hishaw Jr. and an improving Devin Neal, that number could exceed 200.

The combination of Andy Kotelnicki’s RPO-style offense and a pair of quarterbacks that can run as well as anyone on the team makes for a dangerous running game. There will be several contests where KU breaks off long touchdown runs. While passing will be an essential element to the offense, the Jayhawks will do a good portion of their damage on the ground against soft Big 12 defenses.
