Sebastian Williams-Adams is the most recent name to appear on the Kansas basketball recruiting radar.

The Kansas Jayhawks received their first commitment in their 2024 recruiting class, and recent reports suggest head coach Bill Self has his eyes on an incoming junior.

Sebastian Williams-Adams is a 6-foot-7, 220 lbs forward from St. John’s High School in Houston, Texas. 247 Sports rates him as the No. 28 player in the Class of 2025 and the top player in the state. Kansas is one of many schools interested in bringing him on board.

A recent interview with Brandon Jenkins revealed he is looking to schedule official visits with Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas, and Kansas. Considering only one non-SEC school is on his list, he must be very interested in the Jayhawks.

He has stood out in the Elite 24, a tournament in Atlanta for the 24 best recruits in their respective classes. His performances at the Nike Elite 100 Camp really put him on the radar and skyrocketed his rankings.

His game is highlighted by his athleticism. Scouts say he’s shown elite levels of lateral quickness and is extremely versatile defensively. Although his jump shot and ball-handling skills are still developing, he has shown promise as a point forward.

This is a scouting report on him:

“Williams-Adams brings a fundamentally sound style of play to the offensive end of the floor. An imposing straight-line driver, he overpowers defenders on his attack with control and is a reliable finisher through contact. Additionally, he is committed to rebounding and has the ball skills to take the ball off the defensive glass and lead the break. He does damage from behind the arc by spotting up and with all the tools he brings to the table, he has ways to go in terms of realizing how imposing and effective he is as a prospect.”
