Kansas basketball is one of the most dominant programs in college basketball, but these seven schools have experienced the wrath of the Jayhawks more than anyone else.
Considering the Kansas Jayhawks are the winningest program in NCAA Division I history, it should come as no surprise that there are very few schools that lead the Jayhawks in head-to-head matchups. Aside from Duke, Kentucky, and a few others, KU typically overwhelms its competition.
That being said, Kansas has dominated some opposing teams more than others. The Jayhawks have consistently maintained themselves as one the most successful teams since Bill Self arrived as head coach, and the same could be said during other eras under other great leaders such as Phog Allen and Roy Williams.
Up until conference realignment talks heated up more than a decade ago, the Big 12 (or Big Six, Seven, Eight, and so forth) had been a relatively tight-knit group. Schools usually played each other twice in a calendar year, three if they met in the conference or NCAA tournament. Kansas has a storied history with some of these schools, so they will have lost some games — they’ve just won far more.
On this list, you’ll see some all-time records that wouldn’t even seem fathomable for other programs. However, embarrassing opponents has become the norm for Kansas fans, so it might not seem all that crazy to the Jayhawk faithful.
These longtime foes are the schools the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team has dominated the most over the years.
