No. 8: Emory Jones – Cincinnati
Jones was one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the country in 2021, compiling 2,700 passing yards and nearly 800 yards on the ground. The multi-level threat that made him effective was non-existent in 2022. In his eight games, he had as many games with negative rushing yards as he had games with positive rushing yards.
If his new home in Cincinnati is able to get him back to what he was at Florida, he will be a welcomed addition to the Bearcats. If he has to rely more on his passing than he did at Arizona State last year, then he is probably at least a few spots too high on this list. I will give the benefit of the doubt to new head coach Scott Satterfield, who had a good bit of success with dual-threat Malik Cunningham over the past few years at Louisville.
