No. 11: Donovan Smith – Houston

If there was a list of coaches that can get the most out of their offensive players, Dana Holgorson is probably relatively high on that list. Smith has shown many flashes of being able to lead a high-powered offense, with multiple touchdowns in eight of his 10 starts over the past two seasons. It could be a match made in heaven.

However, Smith needs to hone his skills a bit to really thrive in Houston’s offense. His 23 total touchdowns in 10 starts is great, but nine interceptions could certainly be improved on. If he is able to improve his all-around passing proficiency, the Cougars could have somewhat of a poor man’s Clayton Tune.
