No. 12: Alan Bowman – Oklahoma State

If you told me that Alan Bowman would have numbers like he had in his first two collegiate seasons (333 passing yards and 2.3 touchdowns per game), he would be near the top of this list. However, the last time we saw him play significant snaps, he was a roller coaster of success.

Injuries led to a very disappointing 2020 season, as he threw for just 1,600 yards and 10 touchdowns in eight games. He has spent the past two seasons learning behind Cade McNamara and JJ McCarthy, and will be looking to rebound to his former self.

There is a lot of pressure replacing one of the best Oklahoma State quarterbacks ever (Spencer Sanders, who is the Cowboys’ second-leading passer in terms of yards), but he can quickly earn the trust of the fans if he plays like he did early in his career.
