
No. 1: Dillon Gabriel – Oklahoma
Daniels’ versatility gives him a strong case to be at the top of this list. However, Gabriel’s best is top-tier in terms of quarterback play in the entire country. He has now had three great seasons in his college career, with his latest coming at Oklahoma.
While the team struggled to win games, it wasn’t because of the offense. Gabriel led a Sooner offense that was 33rd in the country in points per game while throwing for over 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns (with just six interceptions). If the defense can improve on last year’s performance, Oklahoma could very well find themselves atop the Big 12 again.
