No. 2: Jalon Daniels – Kansas
Arguably the best dual-threat quarterback in the entire country, Daniels will look to improve even further in his second season as the full-time starter for Kansas football Jayhawks. His first four games of 2022 were electric, as his 304 total yards and 3.75 touchdowns per game had him garnering a little bit of Heisman buzz.
While that was quickly deadened by a rough game against Iowa State and a subsequent injury that cost him 4.5 games, the hype is very real heading into the 2023 season. If he can put together a full season like what he did prior to his injury, Daniels will have a really strong case for Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.
