Thing to Like No. 4: Playing at a fast pace

Game two exhibited just how good this squad can be, and it all starts with the fast pace they played with. Lobs were being thrown up every minute to practically every player on the floor, and fastbreak points were plentiful.

KU has several guards who can run the floor in transition or slow the game down to run Coach Self’s sets. It adds another facet of versatility for the Jayhawks.

Having tremendous athletes on the team will allow Bill Self to draw up plenty of fun plays out of timeouts. Once Johnny Furphy joins the team, one can only imagine how bouncy Kansas will be.
