Cause for Concern No. 3: Lack of shot creating

Not to knock Dajuan Harris, but having a pass-first facilitator at the point severely lessens a team’s shot-creating ability. Even if most of Coach Self’s plays rely on fluent ball movement, it is always nice to have a guy who can isolate and create some space for himself in scoring opportunities.

As of right now, Kansas basketball does not have a player like that. Arterio Morris and Elmarko Jackson can get to the rim at will, though it remains to be seen if they can break down the defense and step outside the arc every once in a while.

I don’t view this as too significant of an issue, as having Dickinson in the post will free up open shots for the rest of the team. However, when all else fails, I’m not sure if there is anybody else I can count on yet in a one-on-one matchup.
