Cause for Concern No. 1: Free throw shooting

Oh, free throw shooting. The downfall of more than half of Bill Self’s underachieved teams. It’s something that will *always* be an underlying concern for the Jayhawks, so we’ve grown immune to it. But it doesn’t mean it won’t be a massive issue for this team.

In two games versus the Bahamian National Team, KU shot 28-for-50 from the charity stripe — an even 56%. Yikes!

You can try to chalk it up to the faulty rims in Puerto Rican gyms, but let’s be real. When you look at the roster, there are a multitude of players who simply don’t shoot them well. Free throw shooting will haunt Kansas in several games this season — this one doesn’t seem like something that’ll go away over time.
