3. Derik Queen

No. 10 ranked recruit in C/O 2024, No. 3 ranked C

Queen is one of many 5-star recruits from Montverde Academy, including Liam McNeeley (who put Kansas in his top 6). A tremendous athlete at 6-foot-9, 220 lbs, Queen can run the floor or perform all of the necessary duties of a big man.

A report surfaced earlier in July that Queen would schedule an official visit to Kansas soon. Much of his recruitment has been hush-hush, so it’s difficult to say where Kansas stands right now.

He has not released a final list yet, but Kansas will presumably be on it. Maryland and Indiana are also hot on his radar, as he stems from the Baltimore area. If he decides to not stay local, though, the Jayhawks could be at the forefront of his options.
