2. KU’s experience will go a long way

Talking about cohesion is a different story, but Kansas has one of the most experienced rosters in college basketball. KU projects as the third-oldest roster in ESPN’s Top 25 with an average age of 22.6. That includes soon-to-be 25-year-old Timberlake, 24-year-old Parker Braun, and 22-year-olds McCullar and Harris.

If Timberlake cracks the starting rotation, the starters would be made up of one junior, three seniors, and a super senior. That’s about as experienced as you can get, and a team of veterans is what wins you championships in March. While depth is lacking, there are very few uncertainties about the players the roster already consists of.
