1. The improved play of Kevin McCullar
Bill Self recently said McCullar has been the best player on the team in practice. That is saying something when you’re competing against a former All-American. He seems to think McCullar could make a jump similar to how Ochai Agbaji and Jalen Wilson did after they withdrew their names from the NBA Draft.
We know what he’s capable of defensively and as a leader, but it’ll be interesting to see how much his offensive game has grown in the offseason. His 3-point shooting and ball handling have never been a strong suit, so perhaps we’ll see major improvements in those two aspects.
