The Kansas basketball offseason trip to Puerto Rico begins in just three days. These are five things to look out for during the Jayhawks’ exhibition games.

Kansas Jayhawks fans have been waiting for the team’s first offseason trip since 2017 since it was announced in May that they would travel to Puerto Rico. Although it won’t be televised, we’ll be able to gather more intel on what the 2023-24 Kansas basketball squad will look like.

Three friendlies will be played between Kansas and local teams, including the Bahamian National Team, which consists of NBA players. Games are scheduled for Aug. 3, 5, and 7 in the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

KU is the projected preseason No. 1 team, but that does not mean that there are no questions surrounding the roster. Several uncertainties, such as 3-point shooting and depth, remain an underlying issue for head coach Bill Self.
