Jared Casey was technically a fullback when he caught the game-winning touchdown against Texas in 2021, but he’s now the team’s second-string tight end. Leipold and offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki like to mess around with the backfield in certain Pistol formations, but whoever serves as the fullback won’t have any obligation to touch the ball. They’ll simply block for the tailback or lead the way if Daniels takes off with his legs.
