Running backs

Returning Players:

Devin Neal
Daniel Hishaw Jr
Sevion Morrison
Torry Locklin

Newcomers:

Dylan McDuffie (Georgia Tech)

KU’s running back group is one of the deepest in the conference. McDuffie, one of Coach Leipold’s many transfers from Buffalo, is two years removed from a 1,000-yard rushing season — and he probably won’t see more than a handful of snaps per game. Neal took massive steps as a sophomore and should become even better this year. The one-two punch between him and Daniels is among the best in the Big 12. Hishaw is the wildcard of the unit because he’s arguably as talented as Neal but can never stay on the field. I can’t emphasize enough that Hishaw needs to preserve his health for Neal to reach his maximum potential.
