We previewed each offensive player in their respective position group ahead of the 2023 Kansas football season.

The Kansas Jayhawks football program had a breakthrough last season, reaching their first bowl game since 2008 and hosting College GameDay for the first time in school history. On the grounds that KU returns 17 of its 22 starters from last year, most fans have even higher expectations for Lance Leipold’s third season as head coach.

Being able to make defensive stops was a different conversation, but the Kansas football offense excelled in 2022. The team averaged 35.6 points per game, good for the 21st-best average in the nation.

Jalon Daniels erupted as a Heisman candidate before he sustained a shoulder injury in Week 6 against TCU. Devin Neal rushed for over 1,000 yards as a sophomore. Three offensive Jayhawks made the All-Big 12 First Team. There are several other players to keep an eye on when the team competes in its opener on Sep. 1.

We’ll do the same thing for the Kansas football defense and special teams unit, but first, let’s break down each offensive position for the Jayhawks this upcoming season.
