Question No. 5, directed to Lance Leipold:

How will the program continue to maintain success on the recruiting trail?

Above other things, KU’s football program has been in the news for the past month or so for its hot streak on the recruiting trail. With Coach Leipold up at the podium, why not ask him about the job he’s done with high schoolers?

Rather than simply praising him, though, the media should ask him how he plans to keep this recruiting class — which is ranked No. 40 in the nation and consists of two 4-stars — together by the NCAA’s signing period.

If Kansas doesn’t perform up to par for its commits, there is a good chance that some of them will look for a new home elsewhere. Having a successful football season will not only reflect well on the program, but it’ll also send the message to recruits that last year was not a fluke.

dark. Next. Kansas football has never played these FBS schools
