Question No. 2, directed to Kenny Logan Jr:

As a veteran and leader of the defense, where do you believe the unit will improve this year?

Logan enrolled at the university in 2019 as a cornerback in the Les Miles regime, and he’s become one of the most accomplished defensive players in recent KU football history. And for the first time in his tenure here, the Jayhawks are expected to be relatively good.

He’s entering his fifth and final season at Kansas. You know he wants to end his college career with a bang. As the defense’s leader and one of the most experienced players, how he performs will have a tremendous influence on how the KU defense executes.

There are underlying questions regarding the defensive line, as it lost several key contributors to the NFL. Additionally, the defensive back room struggled at times, even though Cobee Bryant was terrific and Ra’Mello Dotson was serviceable. This would be a fun question to ask Logan, as he is witness to everything that goes on in practice and knows the ins and outs of his teammates.
