Believe it or not, Kansas football has never played these FBS teams

Kansas football vs Current Independents

Liberty Flames: Hugh Freeze has done a terrific job with the program in four seasons. It’s worth noting that former Kansas disaster Turner Gill coached there during their first year of FBS football.

UConn Huskies: UConn has been everywhere in football. They’ve gone from being independent, jumping to the Big East, moving to the AAC, and back to being independent. Makes you appreciate how much stability KU has had in its conference.

UMass Minutemen: The Minutemen were FBS from 1882-1906, then took a 106-year hiatus before joining back a decade ago. I feel like this should’ve been one of KU’s gut-wrenching losses in nonconference play during the 2010s.
