No. 5: Bob Valesente (1986-1987)

Kansas football coaching record: 4-17-1 (.205)

The only coach on this list who served in the 20th century, Valesente finished his career as the shortest-tenured coach with Kansas since the Great Depression. After spending time in college football and the NFL as a linebacker/defensive backs coach, his period with the Jayhawks was extremely disappointing.

Valesente remains the only Kansas football head coach to leave the university with no conference victories (0-13-1). Although he maintained success at other levels of the game, it never worked out between these two parties.
