Lance Leipold has done a terrific job with the Kansas football program, but the Jayhawks have made some awful coaching hires in the past. These are the five worst in KU history.

While the Kansas Jayhawks were once a respected football school, the program took a turn for the worst in the past decade. Massive improvements have been made, but it took quite some time for KU to rebound from its horrific era of football.

Having a poor head coach spoils the outlook of the entire school. It’s one thing to put out a shoddy product on the field, but it’s another when your supposed leader embarrasses the team and the entire fanbase.
