Projected lottery pick and former Kansas basketball standout, Gradey Dick, was invited to the NBA Draft green room.

Kansas Jayhawks stars Gradey Dick and Jalen Wilson will become the 67th and 68th KU players all-time to be selected in the NBA Draft. However, Dick, a projected lottery pick, will be able to shake hands with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver with his invite to the draft green room.

Dick is one of 20 prospects with an invitation. He is expected to be chosen in the early first round, potentially in the top-15.

In his first and only season at Kansas, the Sunflower State native averaged 14.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game on a 44.2/40.3/85.4 slash line. Coming out of high school, he was a 5-star recruit. Dick grew up as a Kansas fan and received an opportunity to play for his dream school.

At 6-foot-8, 205 pounds, Dick is the prototypical 3-and-D wing in today’s NBA. He is a capable defender with a long wingspan but does most of his damage offensively. His jump shot is arguably the smoothest of any player in this year’s draft class, and despite being 19 years old, it shouldn’t take him long to settle into the pros.

Dick has a bright future ahead of him due to his shotmaking ability and tremendous offensive potential. He’s been one of the most highly coveted college wings for over a year. It will be a nice sight for Kansas basketball fans to see a former player step onto the podium and put on the hat of his respective NBA team.

The NBA Draft is on June 22, and coverage begins at 7:00 p.m. CT on ABC and ESPN.
