Jalon Daniels

Prior to his injury, Daniels’ 2022 season was shaping up to be a special one. He was averaging 304 total yards per game, with a 15:1 touchdown-to-turnover ratio. He wasn’t his normal self after he came back from injury, but reminded everyone of what he’s capable of with his 565-yard, six-touchdown performance against Arkansas in the Liberty Bowl. He will be the catalyst of the offense, and a healthy season from him could be the start of something special in Lawrence.

Mike Novitsky

The Jayhawks’ offensive line returns four starters from last season’s unit that allowed the seventh-fewest sacks in FBS (less than one per game). As a Second Team All-Big 12 member last season, Novitsky looks to lead another top tier group. The weapons will get all the praise and hype, but Novitsky and the rest of the offensive line are really what sets the tone for the entire offense.

Dominick Puni

Having two of your offensive linemen on a preseason All-Big 12 team is a good sign. Knowing that four of the five linemen are all returning from last year’s team is an even better sign. Assuming none of the four get worse and former five-star recruit (and number seven player in the 2019 class) Logan Brown can live up to his potential, this could easily be one of the top offensive lines in the country once again. Novitsky and Puni will look to lead the group to success.
