Kansas basketball is hosting 3-star Ketraleus “Bo” Aldridge for an unofficial visit, and he might be the final piece of the puzzle for KU.

The Kansas Jayhawks could add Bo Aldridge to round out their roster for the 2023-24 season.

Aldridge, a combo guard who attends Highland Park in Topeka, began his unofficial visit to Kansas yesterday, June 6. He is a 3-star recruit on 247 Sports with a rating of 86. At 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, Aldridge can play either guard position and would replace KU’s recent decommit, Chris Johnson. In high school, he serves as more of a wing, and it would not be out of the question for him to serve time as an undersized small forward with his tremendous athleticism.

Although he reclassified to the Class of 2024 in February, he could revert back to the Class of 2023 if Kansas wants to bring him on board. KSNT reporter Glenn Kinley reported that KU is Aldridge’s dream school and added that his commitment date would likely come sometime in July.

He is not the most highly touted prospect in his class, but to be recruited by Bill Self on its own is an impressive feat. Aldridge’s status as a 3-star will likely change if he commits to Kansas, as he would gain plenty of national recognition.

His statistics can not be found on most recruiting websites, but The Topeka Capital-Journal stated that through the first five games of his junior season, Aldridge averaged 17.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.

If Aldridge does end up being KU’s final addition to the roster, he will have high expectations from Bill Self. He will not be an immediate contributor, but the coaching staff likely discussed that playing time could be scarce for him as a freshman. If all goes well, though, he could become a terrific player in a couple of years.
