Several Kansas basketball newcomers moved into their living spaces on campus this Friday, including the highly anticipated Hunter Dickinson.

The Kansas Jayhawks regular season does not begin for five months, but the team will have plenty of time to bond in the meantime. Multiple KU players moved into their living spaces in Lawrence, Kansas, to prepare for the upcoming year.

KU basketball’s Twitter account posted pictures and videos of each player who made their way onto the campus. While Dajuan Harris, Kevin McCullar, and KJ Adams have already spent time with the team, the Jayhawks have seven newcomers joining the squad for 2023-24.

Hunter Dickinson, the player that every Kansas fan is dying to watch, was one of the names to touch down in Lawrence. The Twitter account posted a video of him shaking head coach Bill Self’s hand, as well as a video of him in the practice gym sinking a three-pointer with that silky smooth southpaw jumper of his.

Dickinson was not the only man to move in on Friday. Nick Timberlake, a super senior transfer from Towson, brought his suitcases and family with him to his new home.

In one of the most adorable videos you’ll see this year, Bill Self met Elmarko Jackson’s little brother and greeted him with a “What’s up stud?”

Guards Arterio Morris and Jamari McDowell also moved in. High school recruit Chris Johnson was supposed to arrive, but the last-minute news of him decommitting from the program arose yesterday. Marcus Adams Jr. will move into his living space after he finishes his high school classes, and Parker Braun is finishing his degree at Santa Clara.

Members of the team should have a plethora of time to gel together during this downtime, but offseason practices will begin in nearly one month. Kansas will also embark on an offseason trip to Puerto Rico starting Aug. 1.
