Not only is Wilt the greatest Kansas basketball player to ever step foot on an NBA court, but he’s also arguably a top-five player in the league’s history.
Chamberlain boasts a plethora of accomplishments, such as being the only man to ever score 100 points in a game, being the all-time leader in rebounds and rebounds per game, and becoming the first player to ever reach the 30,000 career points plateau.
It’s hard to list all of his milestones on a single page, but we can try to pinpoint the most significant ones — four-time MVP, Hall of Famer, two-time NBA Champion, 13-time All-Star, and seven-time scoring champion. The list goes on.
He was the most dominant player of his generation, and before the Michael Jordan’s and LeBron James’ of the league, an argument could have been made that Wilt is the “GOAT” of the NBA. His statistics are absolutely bizarre — can you name another player that averaged 50 points and 25 rebounds in a season? Without question, Wilt had the best NBA career of all former Kansas Jayhawks.
