Zach Clemence to UC Santa Barbara

Zach Clemence got some good minutes for the Jayhawks from time to time and was even in the game at the end of the thrilling win over Wisconsin in last year’s Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. However, he never could find a consistent role in the rotation. This year, he will be playing at UC Santa Barbara.

It is another opportunity for big minutes, as the Gauchos lost both of their starting frontcourt players from last season. Yohan Traore, a fellow transfer and former five-star recruit, will certainly challenge Clemence and likely get the starting nod at center. However, Clemence’s floor stretching ability could allow him to share the court with Traore. Either way, there should be plenty of minutes up for grabs.
