Kansas basketball will be just fine. I’m not worried about this year’s team one bit. Timberlake, Morris, and Dickinson, along with the returning players and incoming freshmen, will be more than enough to make them a contender.

My main concern is that so many of the young players decided to leave, and that may become a trend if they don’t get playing time in their first or second years in the program. However, it will likely be a problem for every team, and I believe in KU’s staff to get the most out of whoever is on the roster.

This may very well be the start of a new era in college basketball. We may not see four and five-year players stay their whole careers with one program because they think playing time is what’s best for them. If this is what the future holds, buckle up and enjoy the ride.
