Kansas basketball: Single-game leaders for every major statistical category

Wilt Chamberlain — 36 rebounds
No, you don’t need to go back and read that again. You read it right the first time. Wilt had a ridiculous 36 rebounds in a game against Iowa State during his second and final season as a Jayhawk.
Some stat heads and fans of the NBA may look at that number and think that it’s not all that impressive. To be fair, when compared to his stats in the NBA (career 22.9 rebounds per game with 10 of his 14 seasons having a season-high rebound total over 36), it doesn’t sound quite as good. Still, I think the fact that some people can look at 36 rebounds and be anything but impressed (because he was even better in the NBA) just goes to show how dominant Chamberlain really was.
