Kansas basketball: 3 reasons why Kevin McCullar makes KU the nation’s best team
1. McCullar offers a veteran presence that will assist other players in becoming better.
Kansas has the most depth they have had in years, and McCullar returning to the team will make the surrounding talented players grow enough more into their potential. Being a fifth year player, he should offer several tips to newcomers such as Morris, Jackson, and incoming transfers.
McCullar makes his teammates around him more mature, competitive, with higher IQs and more. The roster will learn from McCullar as the season progresses, and once the team is clicking on all cylinders, there will be a few opposing rosters that will be able to stop them on both sides of the floor.
They have guards who can control the pace of the game, they have size, they have shooters, and they have a proven defense. There are few flaws to point out at this point in time.
McCullar coming back turned this team from excellent to potentially unstoppable.
