Kansas basketball: Where did KU prospects land in most recent NBA Mock Draft?
Kevin McCullar — Undrafted (N/A)
The man everybody in Lawrence is awaiting a decision from goes…undrafted? It seems like Bleacher Report overlooked McCullar when they put together this mock draft. Even if he is not a top-notch prospect, his defensive intensity and maturity should at least make him a pick in the mid-to-late 50s.
Assuming that McCullar will return to Kansas because a mock draft says he won’t be selected is wishful thinking. I’m sure he is receiving helpful feedback from scouts while he participates in the NBA Draft Combine — but I can’t help but feel selfish as I continue to hope he pulls his name out of the draft pool for a final season at KU.
McCullar will need to do what is best for his career, and he will not forgo a year in the pros just for the sake of Jayhawks fans. If he does decide to proceed to the NBA, everyone will wish him the best and hope he gets selected in the draft.
