Jalen Wilson — Pick No. 40 (Denver Nuggets)

Wilson was a finalist for the Wooden Award as a junior, but his game does not translate as well to the pros. He is not too athletic for his size and needs to develop a more consistent jump shot. A draft projection from 30 to 40 is a fair assessment for him.

Bleacher Report has him joining the Denver Nuggets, who are one win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history. They wrote this about Wilson:

"Wilson’s improved shot-making made it easier for NBA teams to see him as a pro, though he’ll earn minutes mostly with his physical driving, mid-range game and rebounding."

Even though his traits as a prospect are not the best, he will certainly hear his name called during the draft. His high motor and intense energy are part of what made him a successful college player, and the same will be said about him as an NBA player.
