7. Darnell Valentine (1,821 points)

Valentine was Chicago born and raised but ended up attending high school in Wichita, Kansas, which led to the easy decision of coming to play for the Jayhawks.

Valentine played at Kansas from 1977 to 1981 and scored 1,821 points during his collegiate tenure. He averaged 15.4 points per game during his 118 games played in crimson and blue.

His NBA career lasted ten seasons. He spent five years with the Trail Blazers, three with the Clippers, and two with the Cavaliers. He played in 620 games and averaged 8.7 points per contest.

Valentine will be remembered for his inside scoring, especially considering the era of basketball he took part in. His shot fakes from in the paint, along with his shot-creating ability from mid-range, is what made him such a talented basketball player for an extended period of time. Despite playing before the induction of the three-point line, Valentine could rack up points in a hurry.
