Kansas basketball: Top 10 all-time scorers for the KU Jayhawks
10. Paul Pierce (1,768 points)
Pierce played at Kansas from 1995 to 1998. The Celtics legend is not only known for his time in Boston but also recognized for the 1,768 points he scored in a Jayhawk uniform.
Coached by college basketball legend Roy Williams, Pierce played in 108 games and averaged 16.4 points per game. He also ranks fifth best in KU history for scoring 777 points in a single season, which he accomplished during the 1997-98 season. He could do it all when it came to scoring the basketball, especially his elite mid-range game.
His three seasons at Kansas led him to get drafted 10th overall, and the rest is history. Pierce is now an inductee into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. In 19 seasons at the NBA level, he scored 26,397 points.
Pierce’s number is retired and shown up in the rafters at Allen Fieldhouse, as his jersey was retired during the 2002-03 season. He and Raef LaFrentz formed one of the most prolific scoring tandems in KU basketball history.
