Although Mackenzie Mgbako would have been a fantastic addition to Kansas basketball, the Jayhawks still have a chance to rebound nicely in the offseason.

Kansas Jayhawks fans received a crushing blow when Mackenzie Mgbako announced he would commit to Indiana instead of KU. A top-10 recruit once committed to Duke, Mgbako was Bill Self’s top offseason priority ever since he landed Hunter Dickinson.

Mgbako is a terrific shooter who would have provided some much-needed size for Kansas. But are we overestimating how big of a deal this is? Probably.

At the end of the day, Kansas knows how to bounce back from adversity more than any other school. They are the winningest program in the history of college hoops and are just one year removed from a national championship. Stressing out over an 18-year-old kid committing elsewhere is not something fans should do.
