4 (HM). It’s not a “need,” but him developing a pull-up jump shot would tremendously help KU.

To every Kansas fan that holds out hope for Harris becoming a knockdown shooter, it is not going to happen. It’s simply not his game. He shot 40.5 percent from three last season, albeit with the shots likely coming with nobody within five feet of him. Hitting the open ones is all he has to do. Leave that up to Nick Timberlake and any other shooters KU acquires in the portal.

What we can wish for is that Harris forms a decent mid-range jump shot that teams at least have to respect. Even if it is a one-handed floater while running a pick-and-roll with Hunter Dickinson, a pull-up game would make the Jayhawks’ offense all the more dangerous.

Practically all of his shots last season were wide-open threes or layups at the rim. Adding a teardrop or 15-foot jump shot to his arsenal immediately makes him a Bob Cousy Award candidate.
