3. Get his free throw percentage to where it used to be — aim for 70 percent next year.

Harris’ free throw shooting has gradually declined each year since he entered college. 80.0 percent as a freshman, 79.2 percent as a sophomore, and… 59.6 percent as a junior? Not ideal. It is one thing to have a lack of jump shooters on the floor, but having a sub-60 percent foul shooter as your point guard hurts the team immensely.

He does not need to become the next Brannen Greene from the charity stripe. Just be good enough to not have fans jump out of their seats if he has to take them in crunch time. If he shoots a pair a game, the hope is that he would only miss one every two or three outings. In KU’s season-ending loss to Arkansas, he shot 1-3 from the line.

If Dajuan does become more aggressive on the offensive end, like the last slide presented, he will get to the foul line more often. Assuming he does that, improving his free throws should be one of the top priorities this offseason.
