The Hunter Dickinson sweepstakes get more frustrating for Kansas basketball fans each day.

Attention seeking? Perhaps. But Hunter Dickinson continues to keep Kansas Jayhawks fans on their toes, especially with the news of yesterday’s podcast that many thought would reveal his transfer destination.

RoundBall Podcast, which Dickinson himself and others run, posted a cryptic message on Twitter at 2:32 PM CT yesterday:

News had gotten out that yesterday would be Dickinson’s decision day. Major publications reported that he would be committing on this podcast. Instead, he offered zero clarity about the situation and stated he still has no idea where he wants to attend college next.

Kansas fans continue to stay in the dark regarding his recruitment. “I would’ve happily made the decision sooner, but I really am struggling to try to pick a school,” Dickinson said.

We know that Dickinson has a knack for dramaticism — just check out his commitment video when he announced he would attend Michigan. But he has dragged out this process for an unusual amount of time. The likelihood is that he is trying to gain more NIL value along the way and make schools recruit him even harder.

If anything good came from the situation, Dickinson reasserted that he would choose between Kansas, Kentucky, Villanova, and Maryland. At least we know he likes KU. He also mentioned that Jay Wright was actively trying to bring him on board at Villanova and that he will meet with Kentucky staff members once again.

Dickinson thinks this process has drained him.

"“I did tell teams that I was hoping to know today where I was going, but I never said I was going to announce where I was going. I still don’t know, but I would like to figure it out sooner rather than later, because I can’t deal with this anymore. It’s exhausting.”"

Hopefully, he will make his decision sooner or later. Dickinson will put Kansas in a very difficult spot if he is heading elsewhere.
