1. Max Abmas (Oral Roberts to Texas)

2022-23 season stats: 34 GP, 21.9 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 4.0 APG, 43.6% FG

Abmas became a college hoops sensation after taking down No. 2-seeded Ohio State in 2021 nearly single-handedly. He led Oral Roberts to a Sweet 16 appearance before narrowly falling to Arkansas.

The addition of Abmas immediately makes Texas a title contender with their already stacked roster. He is well on his way to becoming the 12th player in NCAA D-I history to record 3,000 points in his collegiate career if he does not get injured.

There have been criticisms about his game, but he should perform much better in the presence of other star-caliber players with the Longhorns. He is On3.com‘s second-best player to enter the transfer portal, trailing only Hunter Dickinson, KU’s primary portal target.
