Hunter Dickinson will begin his third official visit today at Villanova, and it might not be long before he announces his commitment.

The top player in the transfer portal finished his official visit with Kansas basketball last week. He also concluded his visit with Kentucky during this time, and Villanova is the next destination on his list. It might be the last trip he makes before deciding his commitment.

A star big man based out of Alexandria, Virginia, no player in the transfer portal has received as much attention as Dickinson. He averaged 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds for Michigan in 2022-23, making the All-Big Ten Second Team. A year prior, Dickinson was a consensus Second Team All-American. He is one of the best players to ever enter the transfer portal.

Maryland, Kansas, Kentucky, Georgetown, and Villanova are considered the leading suitors for Dickinson. Some offer proximity to home, while others are bona fide blue-bloods who can present a great deal of NIL benefits.

His visit with the Wildcats should last two or three days. Following its conclusion, Dickinson could commit anytime in the next week — unless he plans to visit another school.

Now is the time for Jayhawk fans to begin stressing about his decision. He has been hush-hush about his recruitment, so he could drop a bombshell out of nowhere. Even with him keeping quiet, speculation is as prevalent as ever as his decision date looms.

The Jayhawks’ roster will see severe changes within the next few weeks. All of their transfer targets are getting closer to making their decision, and most players choose their transfer destination before the conclusion of May.

Nick Timberlake has committed to Kansas already, and Dickinson could be next. With two scholarship players available, Bill Self must be careful of who he constructs his roster with. We could also see a player back out of his National Letter of Intent or transfer before the May 11th deadline.
