2. Andrew Wiggins — Golden State Warriors

2022-23 season stats: 37 GP, 17.1 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 2.3 APG, 47.3% FG

Has Wiggins lived up to the “Maple Jordan” comparisons that he drew when being selected first overall in 2014? No. But he is a fantastic player that is better than most wings in the league.

When you average 17 points per game on a team with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, you have to be pretty good. In fact, Wiggins’ scoring average has not dipped below 16.9 in his nine-year NBA career.

Not everything has been hunky-dory for Wiggins recently. He missed more than two months due to his father’s serious health concerns, which contributed to his low games played total in 2022-23. Because of the lofty expectations he had coming into the NBA, he has struggled with mental health.

It is rare to find a player that is as highly touted out of high school and college as Wiggins was. Sure, he is not a superstar, but not many players can claim they are better than him. After winning an NBA championship in 2022, the Warriors and Wiggins could be on their way to another Finals run if they defeat the Kings in the first round of the playoffs.
