KU’s roster improved considerably with the addition of Nick Timberlake, but these 5 needs must be addressed for Kansas basketball to become a championship contender again.

Just like last off-season, the Jayhawks have a lot of work to do in order to put together a competitive roster by the time the season starts in November. Unless Kevin McCullar decides to return for his last season of eligibility, Coach Self will have to replace his top three scorers from last year’s team. Not only that, but the returning players, while excellent in their own ways, don’t have the best track record for being go-to players. With that being said, here are my five biggest needs for the Jayhawks’ roster.
